Bangalore International Centre
Bangalore International Centre
About
This mixed-use public facility houses a 180 seat auditorium, seminar rooms, a library, an art gallery, meeting rooms, and a cafe. These program components are arranged around generous internal public spaces intended both as spill out for these functions but also as places for congregation, smaller performances, art exhibitions, etc. Organized behind a glass facade and framed by three storey concrete portals, this public life of the building is revealed and celebrated. In addition to this, ample gardens serve the internal spaces on the ground floor and the terrace offers additional spaces for gathering under a large solar roof. The building was designed by a Bangalore based firm – Hundredhands, led by Bijoy Ramachandran.
These facilities are available for hire by organisations provided the use is consistent with BIC’s objectives and guidelines. For more details, please get in touch with us at bic@bangaloreinternationalcentre.org
