Ms. Chippi Pillai began her training at the age of 3 under Smt. B. Chandralekha, Veenadharini Nirtha Vidyalaya at Thiruvananthapuram and done arangrettam at age of 7. Later did advanced studies under Late. Padmashri Adyar K. Lakshman, Bharatha Choodamani, Chennai. Currently undergoing training with Smt. Nagamani Srinivasa Rao, Bharata Darshana, Bangalore. With her keen ability to understand and imbibe the nuances of this beautiful art form and with her perseverance and dedication, she has presented more than 100 performances till date. Towards imparting the knowledge to the younger generation Ms.Pillai founded Kalyani Kala Kendra in 2009, trains and moulds students keeping current trends in mind however ensure to preserve the aesthetics and technical aspects of the art form.
