Smt. Archana Bennur is an acclaimed professional South Indian classical musician. She is the granddaughter of Swaramurthy V N Rao. He was the grandson of Veena Sheshanna, a renowned musician of Mysore. She got training under renowned classical musicians. She got training in the South Indian classical music department. She then obtained a master’s degree in music from the University of Mysore. She obtained a Gold Medal for very high achievement. She holds the prestigious title of “graded artist” with All India Radio. She has given award-winning performances at prominent events and institutions across India. This includes Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai. She currently lives in Seattle. She returns to India to perform and lecture.
