Dr. Mala Shashikanth established Kaishiki Natyavahini in 1989 with the objectives of promoting the arts of Dance, Music, Yoga and Sanskrit Shloka recitation. Kaishiki Natyavahini provides an environment where the spirit of yogic living can be acquired and displayed through the medium of art and culture. Kaishiki Natyavahini is devoted to research and development of forms of art and related disciplines. With an aim to mould the tender minds, along with Bharatanatya, training is provided for students in Music – Vocal & Instruments, Sanskrit Shlokas, Yoga- which establishes an intimate link between asanas of Yogashastra & karanas of Bharatanatya. Studies at Natyavahini are rooted in Ashtanga with emphasis on moral and ethical living, leading to an integrated personality. The ultimate goal of Kaishiki Natyavahini is to help students carve a niche for themselves in the dancing world.
