The Bangalore center of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan bloomed in 1965. It enjoys an enviable a reputation in the service of arts, education ,and culture. Kulpati Dr. Kanhaiyalal Maneklal Munshiji. Dr. Munshhiji set up Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1938. Bhavan is the brain-child of Dr. K M Munshi, a visionary. Founded in 1938, it had its aim of promoting and propagating Indian values and culture. The Institute aimed to promote literature, Music, Dance and other fine arts. Dr. Munshi was a versatile personality. He was a lawyer, creative writer, freedom fighter, administrator, organization-builder. Classes offered are Sanskrit and Yoga, Karnataka and Hindustani Classical Music. They also provide Courses in Communication and Management, Diploma Courses in Astrology.
