Pratha Sharma is a proficient Classical Odissi Dancer, Guru, Cultural Researcher and Author who specializes in the traditional temple dancing styles of Odissi. With over 40 years of association with the art form, her work primarily focuses on documenting and propagating the ancient, fast-depleting heritage of Hindu temple culture and classical arts. She received formal training from Sree Neelanchala Seva Sangha, Lord Jagannath Temple in Delhi. Her teaching methodology incorporates the styles of two prominent Odissi gurus, Mayadhar Raut and Kelucharan Mohapatra. She also holds Visharad and Bhaskar certifications from Pracheen Kala Kendra in Chandigarh. 

She has authored and documented texts on Odissi for students titled 'Oudhr Magadh Nritya Shaili' series and 'Geet Govindam in Oudhr Magadh Nritya Shaili' series- as Odissi was known in ancient India. The emphasis is to retain the original style practiced within the ancient temples, especially Jagannath Temple in Puri by the Maharis.
