Saxophone Sisters India-fame MS Subbalaxmi is also known as Saxophone Subbalaxmi. She is quite different from other musicians. Music is in her blood as her father is a mridangam player. Her grandfather was a musician in the erstwhile Royal Court of Mysore. Besides, there are a dozen percussionists in her family. She started her vocal training in music at the age of six. When she turned 15, she started learning saxophone from Dr. Kadri Gopalnath. She is good at Carnatic, fusion, and Bollywood to Western pop music. She has done over 5000 shows in India and 17 countries. She has got many awards. They are Rajyothsava Award by Govt of Karnataka, Padmabharathi Award, Yuvakala Bharathi Award
