Dr. Jyotsna Srikanth is a famous violinist proficient in Carnatic and Fusion genres. Jyotsna had a keen interest in music at a young age and learnt it from her mother Ratna Srikanth. Being exposed to lots of concerts, she developed an interest in string instruments. At the age of 6, she started her training in violin under the tutelage of R.R. Keshavamurthy and V.S. Narasimhan. By the age of 9, she was well versed in Violin to give performances on stage. In India, Jyotsna's career took off as Violin musician in South Indian films. She has performed in all leading sabhas and music festivals in India. Upon moving to London, she has performed at many prestigious international music festivals. She has used her recitals for National Geographic, Discovery and other leading institutions. Jyotsna has released many musical albums in Carnatic and Fusion genres. Her albums "Call of Bangalore", "Bangalore Dreams", "Carnatic Connections" received positive reviews. She is the Founder and Curator of "London International Arts Festival (LIAF)". She also heads "Dhruv Arts", UK based non-profit educational organisation. Jyotsna's contribution to the field of music earned her many praises and awards. Newspaper publication "The Guardian" reviewed her as "an extraordinary and versatile violinist". She is the recipient of "Ganakalashree Award" and "Chanakya Award" from PRCI.
