Aneesh Vidyashankar is a popular contemporary Violinist. Though his professional career started from the age of 6, he started his training from the age of 3. His father is his guru and still learns under him. Apart from Carnatic, Aneesh experiments with other genres like Hindustani and Western Classical. He plays all styles of music in Violin with ease. Aneesh is performing for almost 20 years and have given close to 2000 concerts all over India and abroad. He is the recipient of "Honorary Doctorate in Music" by Niti Aayog, Govt of India, at the age of 26. He is also recognised as "wireless walking violinist".
