The Bangalore school of music is an elite music school that has been honing musical talents for over 30 years since 1987. With an aim to inculcate a deeper “understanding and appreciation of music”, the institute uses a 360-degree approach to teach music. Founded in 1987 by Aruna Sunderlal in a small bungalow in Fraser Town, who had felt the need for introducing a premier music institute in the city, the school has stood the test of time and is now relocated to a state of the art facility equipped center in RT Nagar. With a renowned faculty to guide them, students at BSM are trained in the intricacies of Western Classical music with courses on Guitar, Piano, Violin, Cello and many more musical instruments. Regular concerts, recitals, and workshops make the place a haven for music. Giving back to the society, various charitable programs including providing free musical training for the underprivileged and the economically weaker section of aspirants are also undertaken by BSM. With eminent Indian and foreign musicians ever visiting the place, BSM believes in providing a common axis for western and classical music to understand each other.
