B K Shyam Prasad is the founder of Keshava College of Music and Dance. He also manages Samskruthi Bhavan, Keshava Nritya Shala and Keshava Samskruthi Sabha. He is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer with the guidance of H.R. Keshava Murthy and teaching the art for 15 years. He is also a well versed Mridangam performer and learnt under the legendary TAS Mani. Apart from these arts, he is also learning Vocal from many leading eminent musicians. Shyam Prasad has choreographed many dance recitals of his school. He is the recipient of "Singarmani" for his contributions to the art of classical dance. His dance recitals are popular at leading sabhas in India and abroad. He also served as Chief Examiner for Bharatnatyam vidwat examinations.
