Vidhushi Ranjani Venkatesh, a Mridangist is the granddaughter of B.V. Subhadramma. She was a well-known Carnatic vocalist. Ranjani Venkatesh runs the Subhadramma Venkatappa Sangeetha Vidyalaya. This is a Carnatic Music School.
