Shanthala Arts Academy is one the premier dance institutions in the state of Karnataka. A brainchild of Natya Vidwan Prasanna Kasthuri and Late Vidwan Raghusutha, it is at present managed by Pulikeshi Kasturi and Sushma Mohan, US returned dancer-choreographer. The academy organised dance festivals, trains students in Bharathanatyam, Carnatic music and Nattuvangam and has produced dance productions with award winning music directors. The Shanthala performing ensemble has performed all over the country for national and state level dance festivals, corporate, schools, colleges, temples and cultural festivals. At present classes in Bharathanatyam are conducted in Yeshwanthpur, Vidyaranyapura, Yelahanka, Mahalakshmi Layout and Doddaballapura. The classes are handle senior students of the academy and are monitored by guru Kalayogi Pulikeshi Kasthuri. Music class is held at Yeshwanthpur and Nattuvangam classes are held throughout the year at various locations.
