K. Vrinda Acharya is one of the best Carnatic vocalists of Karnataka. Her emphasis on bhava and clarity of Sahitya along with adherence to classical authenticity, coupled with a rich melodious voice, has groomed her into a consistent performer representing pure classical music. She did her initial training in Carnatic Vocal Music from Vid. Shaila Subrahmanyam. She then came under the tutelage of Sangeetha Kalarathna Karnataka Kalashri Vid. Neela Ramgopal. She also receives guidance from her husband Vid. Arjun Kumar who himself is a Mridangam Maestro. Her countless traits in music earned recognition from a very initial stage of her career, which continued with the passage of time. She has been performing concerts at prestigious sabhas, institutions and music festivals and also has several albums to her credit. Besides music, she has consistently shown her brilliance in academics, culminating in a Post-Graduation in Commerce(M.Com) with I Rank, Bangalore University (Gold Medallist). After several successful years of imparting education as a whole time faculty with the School of Graduate Studies, Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College and The National School of Business, Vrinda decided to dedicate her time and efforts exclusively to Carnatic Music. Her equal passion for ancient Indian literature gave her a Post- Graduate degree (M.A) in Sanskrit. Being a good writer, she has been continuously contributing articles pertaining to Indian Culture, Music and Philosophy to various reputed magazines and websites. She is a lively and experienced teacher training several students in music, in India as well as abroad. The music workshops conducted by her at several places world over have gained immense commendation and popularity. Vrinda's natural talent coupled with her dedication to Carnatic Music makes her a brilliant musician. Along with her husband Vid. Arjun Kumar, she runs an exclusive house concert venue called Anubhooti. She is also an active blogger who pens down her thoughts and diverse experiences.
