Vishaka Hari is a prominent Carnatic music vocalist. She is an established exponent of Harikatha. She is otherwise known as a storyteller of Kathakalakshepam. She has performed in several sabhas during the Chennai Music Season since 2006. Vishaka Hari performs with her husband, Sri Hari. Her brother, Saketharaman is a disciple of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. He is also one of the leading Carnatic musicians in India. She is an artist of All India Radio and has given discourses and concerts abroad. Vishaka Hari learned Bharatha Natyam from the prominent dancer, Professor Sudharani Raghupati. She performs Harikatha on various topics based on Ramayana, Bagavatham and Skanda Purana. She also performs from srianna's works such as Sri Vaishnava Samhitha; Sri Brindavana Mahatmyam; Divya Desa Vaibhavam; Harikatha Amritha Lahari; Sri Bhakta purisha Stavam; Sati vijayam, Shatakams and Keerthanas. She is the winner of Dr M.S. Subbulakshmi Centenary Award. She is also the recipient of Vasantashreshtha award. She is also the recipient of Lifetime achievement award.
