Sri. V Praveen is a child prodigy. He is the son and disciple of Late. Shri. M L Veerabhadraiah. Later he continued his training from the great Mridangam Maestro Sri. Palghat Mani Iyer. At the age of 7, he gave his first concert. He accompanied with the great Chembai Vaidyanatha Baghavathar. He has performed all over India and abroad in several major art festivals.
Bangalore V Praveen, born on April 17, 1962 is a child prodigy. He is the son and disciple of Late. Shri. M.L. Veerabhadraiah and later he continued his training from the great Mrudangam Meastro Sri Palghat Mani Iyer. At the age of 7 he gave his first concert accompanied with the great Chembai Vaidyanatha Bahavathaer. Later he accompanied the stalwarts of carnatic music such as Semmangudi Srinivas Iyer, T.R. Mahalingam, Veena Balachender, Madurai Somasundaram, M.S. Subbalakshmi, N.Ramani, Mandolin U. Srinivas, N. Ravikiran etc. He has performed all over India and abroad in several major art festivals. Shri. M.L. Veerabhadraiah is his father and Guru. Awards "The best Mrudangam Player" award from The Music Academy, Chennai "Mrudanga Chakravarthy" and "Asthana Vidwan" Award from the Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt "Mrudanga Kala Ratna" Award from the All India Telugu Association "GunakalaShree" from the Karnataka Gana Kala Parishath "Laya Kala Prathibha Mani" from the Percussive Arts Centre
