Smt.Suchitra received formal Bharatanatya training in Mysore style, for over two decades under the highly accomplished Vidhushi. Dr. Mala Shashikanth, an exquisite graceful dancer herself. She also obtained higher education in the field under the popular Naatyaachaarya Bharatakalamani Sri. C Radhakrishna, who is a doyen in the field himself. Further, she has had the privilege of obtaining an exclusive training in 'Abhinaya' under the very famous, second to none talent, one of the pioneers in the Mysore style of Bharatanatya, Padma Bhushana Late Smt. Dr. Venkatalakshamma. Indeed, such volumes of training she has received, is bound to make Smt.Sucitra a pleasure to watch as a dancer, with a capturing beauty, scintillating grace and heart-rending abhinaya. Smt. Suchitra has also obtained formal training in the field of Carnatic classical music under the very able and noted musician of the present era, Gaana Kalaa Bhushana Vidwan R K Padmanabha. His blessings and guidance nurtured her to become an amazing singer. Her divine voice strikes a chord with the listeners' heart. Her renditions of Dasasahitya have been known to leave the listeners spellbound. With the blessings of her Gurus, and the immeasurable support of her parents and her husband, Sri. Alaknanda, a noted theatre and Television artiste himself, Smt. Suchitra established Sanskriti Centre for Performing Arts and has been propagating her knowledge for more than a decade now in the fields of dance and music to interested fellow students constantly inspiring them into the sacred divine art forms of the rich Indian Heritage.
