Srinivasan Rajendran is into the field of dance for the past twenty years. He started his initial dance lessons from Guru.Smt. Shuba Dhananjay and is currently under the able guidance of Sri Satyanarayana Raju. His serious passion and dedication towards the art form molded him to a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer. He has acquired B.A. Degree in choreography from the Natya Institute of Kathak and Choreography headed by Guru Dr.Maya Rao. He has rendered his service for Times Of India as NIE Consultant educating and nurturing various young talents in the field of Indian Cultural Heritage at several esteemed institutions of Bangalore. He is also the artistic Director of Aditya Hridayam Space for Arts training many passionate students. He has performed in prestigious cultural festivals all over India and abroad touring China, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. He has the privilege of working for all the leading choreographers in India. He is one among the unique, vibrant male dancers troupe called Tandava-The Vibrance which is creating a new trend in the field of dance. He has the credit of performing a unique solo dance presentation “tandava lasya” featuring both masculine and feminine aspects of dance. He is associated with the Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning from a very young age performing lead roles in their productions. Since music is also his serious interest, he is pursuing his vocal lessons as well. Other than dance, he is also trained in martial art forms like Thang-tha of Manipur, Chau from Orissa and Kalaripayattu of Kerala. He is a graded artsite of Doordarshan Bangalore and has the credit of working for various school projects choreographing thematic presentations.
