Smt Rekha Dineshkumar started her training in Bharathanatyam, under Guru late Smt. Lalita Dorai, of Ganesh Natya Mandir, Bangalore. She is continuing her learning under Guru B.Bhanumathi and Smt. Sheela Chandrashekar of “Nrityakalamandiram and has given various performances under their guidance. She has performed at programs organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture, Sangeetha Nrithya Academy, All India Youth festival, Dharwad, as well as under various banners like the Indian Institute of World Culture, the Malleshwaram Sangeetha Sabha and the ICCR. She was as an assistant artistic director at Kalapadma Dance Academy in Chicago, USA for 4 years. A recipient of the "Nrithya Shiromani" title at Cuttack Utsav, Odisha, she is the founder and artistic Director of Benaka Natya Mandir in HSR Layout, where she has trained numerous students.
