About
Rajeshwari Aravind is bangalore based dancer. She is the disciple of Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy. She manages the dance school named "Ameya" founded by her guru Chitra Chandrasekhar Dasarathy. She performed in the new production named Apara which explores Krishna differently. The production Apara looks at lord Krishna beyond the myths and stories of common retelling. Apara is an exposition of four objects associated with Krishna. Two of these occur in nature and the other two are human creations.
The four elements are: Neelamegha or the dark rain cloud, which pervades him with its hue. The Peetambara or the yellow silk, which finds total companionship through its proximity to His body.Mayil Peeli, the peacock feather which finds it’s crowning glory on His head. And finally, Murali, the flute-which comes into the hands of the supreme artist, Krishna.
The production, says the guru is an exploration into ideas of form, colour and movement that emerge from Krishna. It seeks to grapple with an idea of Krishna that is beyond the visible form.
