Vidwan P Srinivas Murthy is a Mridangam professional and teacher, in Bangalore. He is passionate in performing his percussion instrument. At the time of learning, he was one of outstanding students with higher grades in music. He received a fellowship from Government of Karnataka for research in "Ghatam Manufacturing". He has performed throughout the country. He is a All India Radio's (AIR) B and H grade artist. Private television channels and Doordarshan have telecasted his performance several times. He is an exemplary teacher and encourages his students in music and guides them to perform. He has taught in institutions like Vijaya college of music and Sri Vani Institute of Music. He was a teacher in National Hillview Public School. He made students under 13 years of age to perform percussion ensemble "Laya Sourabha". It is one of his greatest accomplishments and was successful. Vidwan Srinivas heads the Guru Smruthi Kala Kendra, along with eminent artists. The organisation imparts teaching of various music under one roof.
