Manjula Rao is one of the famous Violinist, from Bangalore. She is training from the age of 8, under the guidance of Sri.Venkatadasappa and Sri. H.V. Krishna Murthy. To learn the advance nuances of the string instrument, she has trained under Sri.K.K.Keshavamurthy. She has performed all over the country and abroad, giving solo performances and accompanying well known artists. Manjula has a talent for direction and likes conducting orchestra ensembles with western influence. In her performances, she has staged the drama of Kalidasa's Shakuntala and "Purandara Daasa". She has received "Illinois Art Council Grant" in the year 1999. Manjula Rao has a passion towards teaching and guides aspiring students in Carnatic Vocal and Violin, at her residence.
