L Bhimachar is a Morsing artist. L Bhimachar received the prestigious T. Chowdiah National Award. He is among the seniormost morsing exponents in the country. Bhimachar’s children B Rajashekar and Bhagyalakshmi Muralikrishna took to morsing. B Rajashekar learned vocal music under the tutelage of late Sri. Ramaiah, Sri. Srikantachar and Sri. H Puttachar. Later on he learnt violin under Vidwan Anoor Ramakrishna. Bhagyalakshmi Muralikrishna is one of the few women percussionists in the country. She is the first woman to play the morsing in Karnataka. She is a member of Stree Taal Tarang group.
