Kiran Kumar BJ is a Mridangam and Kanjira artist. ‘Mridanga Vadana Ratna’ Vidwan M. Vasudeva Rao trained him. He is currently pursuing the art under the guidance of Vidwan Sreenivas Murthy of the Guru Smruthi Kala Kendra ®. He is also a percussion music teacher at the institute. He began performing at an early age of 15. Ministry of HRD granted him a scholarship for Mridangam. award by Kannada & Culture Dept (Govt of Karnataka) awarded him ‘Yuva Prathibe'. Bangalore Gayana Samaja awarded him First Prize for Mridangam senior category. Also, he is a ‘B - High’ grade AIR artist who secured the first place for Kanjira.
