Kanchana Sisters are also known as “Kanchana Ranjani Sisters”. Kanchana S Shriranjani and Kanchana S Shruthiranjani are most sought after duet vocalists. The duo got elected to be on the esteemed Indian Council for Cultural Relations panel of artists. and have been performing on prestigious platforms in India and abroad. At a very tender age of 3 years, their father V Subbarathnam initiated them into music. They began staging classical concerts at the age of 4. The sisters’ duo specializes in the rendition of the “Avadhana Pallavi”s. They learned from their maternal uncle Dr. R S Nanda Kumar, Mysore. They have documented their unique Avadhana art at the University of Hyderabad. Both earned 1st rank in ‘Vidwath’ degree in Carnatic Classical Vocal and Violin. They are “B High” graded artists in All India Radio (AIR). They have also earned many prestigious senior performer scholarships for music. The duo has also composed and directed background music for many music albums, dance etc.
