K.V.Krishna Prasad is an esteemed classical musician with a difference. An entrepreneur by profession, he is the proprietor of " Sri Vidya Associates", a construction company. He is a performer, composer, researcher, teacher and a revivalist of ancient art forms. His training started at the age of 8 under the tutelage of Vidushi Geetha, Vidushi Swarnalatha, Vidwan M. V. Raghuram and currently under the guidance of Ganakalabhushana Vidwan R. K. Padmanabha. With his astounding voice, he sings with deep devotion capturing the rendition with fine nuances, making him most sought after musician. Krishna Prasad is the secretary of "Our School" , that facilitates unique learning through various art forms. He heads "Sri Vidya Kala Kendra", a music school for Carnatic vocal music. He follows the concept of "Goshti gaayana" , teaching all age groups and conducts "Gnaana Chakra" to encourage all of his students to show their talents in various platforms. To spread the glory of Carnatic Music, he conducts various workshops with illustrations, throughout India and Abroad. He organizes "Naada Chiguru", a monthly concert , to encourage upcoming artists. His current mission is to spread the musical inheritance of Swami Vivekananda through various ragas, in Kannada and Sanskrit. As a highly versatile musician, he has won several awards and accolades in his career. He has composed music and background score for a famous audio book "Sandhya Raaga" written by Aa.Na.Kru. To show respect for his guru, Vidwan R. K. Padmanabha, he composed a new raaga and thilana in "Padmanambha Priya", in a special occasion. He is the youngest to hold the post of Music Critic in the daily "Deccan Herald" and "Prajavani" and "Youth Wing Convener" for Karnataka Gana Kala Parishat.
