Jayachandra has performed with stalwarts of Indian Musicians and has won accolades from them. His virtuosity has found praise with all the senior musicians whom he performs with. He is known for his "Gayaki Style" of playing, his anticipation of the Manodharma (freestyle) of the main artist, clarity and sound stroke playing style. Jayachandra performs regularly for jazz music, world music, film recordings and experimental art endeavors. He has performed with world-renowned artists like Dillon Fowler, Peter Stacey, Andrew Weichman and many others. Jayachandra has traveled many countries all over the world and performed with renowned musicians of those countries. He has provided percussion support to a magnum opus dance event - India Dance - Wales in Great Britain. One of his unique ability to adapt different styles of music has been appreciated by critics, musicians and connoisseurs all over the world. His album with many contemporary musicians of the world has been appreciated. He is the only Carnatic Percussionist who has performed with National Orchestra of BBC Wales.
