Vidhushi Jyothi M Chetan is a popular Veena performer. With constant encouragement from her parents, she received professional training in Veena. Under the tutelage of Vidwan C.Naranappa and C.N.Dhananjaya, she learnt Veena. Being a music enthusiast, she learnt Flute from Vidwan T.R.Srinath. Also, she honed her music knowledge by learning Mridangam and Vocal from Vidwan B.R.Sridhar. She then learnt advanced nuances of Veena from Vasundhara Srinivasan and Jayanthi Kumaresh. Jyothi imbibed several techniques of music in her career and developed her own style. She mastered the "Gayaki" rendition of Veena, giving a unique experience to her audiences. Being an "A" grade Artist in All India Radio, she has done many programmes for AIR and Doordarshan. Jyothi's recitals were well received in many prestigious sabhas of South India. Her concerts at music festivals in India and United States are popular. Apart from her Solo performances, her contributions in group concerts earned her applauds. She proved her versatility by performing Jugalbandi concerts with Sitar musicians. Jyothi, being a talented Veena performer, has won several music competitions. She is the recipient of prestigious "Kalanidhi","Rangaprapancha" awards and many other titles.
