Smt. Girija Ravishankar started learning music at the age of 3. She then continued her learning under Dr. R N Srilatha. Later on she continued under R N Thyagarajan. She is also trained in Violin And Bharatanatyam. She had secured prize in the Ranje Harve Pallavi competition organized by Shruthimanjari. She had also completed Vidwath examination. She has also got an exposure to Jazz and Arabic music.
