Dr. Meenakshi Ravi is a professional carnatic musician and a doctorate in social work. She is a popular music therapist , counsellor and director of “Meera School of Music”, along with her husband N.G.Ravi. Her doctorate is about “Music Therapy for Women with Marital Discord” . She uses music as curative measure for many students for improving mental health, to promote human values and spirituality. Classic music, Mridangam, devotional/ light music and shlokas are few, imparted to students in her centre. The school administers carnatic music as therapeutic measure for children with conditions like Autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, Dyslexia to name a few.
