Dr.Mala Shashikanth is the prime disciple of Guru Natyacharya V.S.Koushik from Karnataka. She got qualified in Master of Arts. She had secured Doctorate on Karnataka Parampara from the prestigious Bangalore University. She has been a performing artist as well as a dance teacher for more than 35 years. She had also won universal appreciation for her Kathakali dance recital. She has written a book “Paramparadhara” – on the evolution and growth of Dance Art of Karnataka. She is the founder Director of Kaishiki Natyavahini. She is the Principal Secretary of Karnataka Bharatagama Prathishtana. It is an aAcademy of Performing Arts. This foundation works to uphold the style and form of classical traditions.
