Shri. Chandramouli Rao is a renowned Hindustani Vocalist and Violinist. He has been learning and teaching Hindustani classical music for the last 30 years. He started his music journey in violin under Pt. J L Kashinath Sastry and later under flute maestro Pt. K P Shenoy of Dharwad. With a focus on gayaki-ang, he went on to learn under Dr. N. Rajam. Over the last 15 years, he has developed several vocal techniques and continues to focus on both Violin and Vocal. He focuses on teaching the vocal singing technique using scores of Alankars (paltas) to ensure the student is able to sing with his/her inner voice. Used to run a music institute Swarsangeet in California, USA imparting violin and vocal training.
