Sri. B U Ganesh is an outstanding violinist, a gifted vocalist, and a passionate teacher. His earlier training was under Basavanagudi G Nataraj and Bangalore S Shankar. Ganesh Prasad continued his advanced lessons in vocal music under P S Narayanaswamy. This has complemented his instrumental skills. Ganesh Prasad is in great demand as an accompanist. He has provided inspired support to eminent musicians, present and past. He is an A grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has also performed as a solo violinist and has given vocal concerts around the world. His mellifluous bowing and vocalized renditions on the violin have earned him accolades. He has performed at prestigious international venues. Those are Paul Getty Center, Los Angeles. He also performed at Esplanade-Theatres on Bay Singapore, Theatre de la Ville Paris to name a few.
