Anjana Ghosal,born and brought up in Delhi, is a researcher and practitioner of music. She is an Army officer's daughter Ashok Kumar Ghoshal. She has studied in five schools which gives her a rich academic background. Her mother Sharmila Ghoshal is one of our country’s top editor with an impressive work profile, absolutely fantastic! She completed her graduation from Lady Sri Ram College, New Delhi in Journalism (hons). Her Master’s degree has been from the School of Arts and Aesthetics,JNU. Anjana Ghosal recently wrote a book, Piu is the author of WORK OF/ON ART first published in 2013. Her Music Album RAGA TO ROCKS in EFM( Electronic Fusion Music) is about to release and hit the market soon. She has trained in Hindustani classical music ( Kirana Gharana) under the umbrella of great guru’s like Guru R C Sharma, Smt Shanti Sharma and Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan. She has also learnt Kathak from Lucknow Gharana under the aegis of great Kathak exponent Smt Vaswati Misra. Anjana Ghosal also known as “PIU” has travelled all over the country and abroad as well related to the performing arts. She has to credit more than two hundred shows in the performing arts. Anjana Ghosal is the great musician Bappi Lahiri’s grand daughter who shook the entire nation with his Sound and also the great film maker Ritwik Ghatak’s grand daughter who has films like Ajantrik, Musafir, Madhumati, Subarnarekha, Meghe Dhaka Tara, A River Named Titas, Heerer Prajapati, Komal Gandhar, Titas Ekti Nadir Naam, Jukti Takka Aar Gappa and many many more masterpieces to his credit that ruled Cinema in Indian and World over. She is also the granddaughter of renowned Auyurvedic practitioner , Shri Haran Kabiraj and Narayan Sanyal,eminent writer of Bengali literature.
