He is a Disciple of Padmavibhushana awardee Umayalpuram Sri K Sivaraman. – He has been performing on stage for 20+ years. He is A grade artiste of AIR and Doordarshan. He has been teaching mridangam for more than 10 years. He is the recipient of scholarships from Central govt. He has performed in various organisations all over India.
