Yaksha kala Academy trains students in Yakshagana. Yakshagana is a separate genre of music. It is independent of Karnataka Sangeetha and the Hindustani music of India. It is a traditional theatre form. It combines dance, music, dialogue, costume, make-up, and stage techniques. with a unique style and form. This theatre style is in Tulunadu and some parts of Malenadu regions of Karnataka and Kerala. They play this from dusk to dawn. It consists of stories from Ramayana, Mahabharata. It also contains stories from Bhagavata and other epics. They are from both Hindu and Jain traditions.
