Sri. M.Venkatesh started mridangam training under his father ‘Nada Chintamani’ Sri. B.M.V.Ramaiah and continued on with ‘Tala Vadya Praveena’ Sri.S.V. Giridhar. Sri. M. Venkatesh’s versatility and experience of more than two decades of playing percussion instruments like Ghatam and Morsing, apart from Mridangam have earned him titles like ‘Morsing Vadana Gambhira’ and ‘Nada Chintamani.’ He has accompanied eminent musicians like Smt. Sudha Raghunathan, Sri. Rajesh Vaidya and dancers like Smt. Padmini Rao, Smt. Radha Sridhar to name a few. He has given performances in various cities worldwide. Another feather to his cap is ‘Nada Tarangini’ a Talavadya group led by Sri. M.Venkatesh.
