She has done Sangeet Visharad from Bhatkhande University, Lucknow and also from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal. She has experience of teaching Vocal Music for the last 20 years. She is teaching and preparing students for Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad and Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh Vocal Music examinations. Her husband is also an accomplished singer, instrumentalist and performer.
