Smt. Srilakshmi Venkataramani started her Music career at the tender age of 5. She started her career performing vocal concerts. At the age of 12, she evinced much interest in violin and started pursuing that as her career. She has been playing Violin for the past two decades. She has been performing violin duets with her guru, Kumari A Kanyakumari. She has staged various Solo performances. She has received very high appreciation from the press. Especially she got it from The Hindu and The Indian Express. She is a B High-graded, artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. She has performed for Doordarshan and many other channels in Tamilnadu as well. She got T Kesavalu award for The Best Violinist. Shri Krishna ghana sabha conducted it during the year 2000.
