Sri Guruguha Gana Vidhyalaya found its existence 75 years back at Kolkatta. The school came to form by Ananthakrishna Iyer, to promote the culture of Carnatic music. The school teaches Carnatic music that follows the lineage of Muthuswamy Dikshithar. The school focuses to impart his compositions to the present generation. Sri Guruguha Gana Vidhyalaya is a premium institution for teaching Carnatic Vocal, Veena and Violin. The school was then managed by Anantharama Iyer and now by his lineage A.Sadhasivam and A.Champakavalli.
