Shwetha Lakshman’s arangetram took place on May 26th 1999 at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bangalore under ‘ Karnataka Kalatilaka’ Guru Smt. Padmini Rao and was lauded by the audience. Her debut also bagged reviews in leading publications from art critics. Shwetha is a dedicated student since 1994 and is interested in developing dance as her profession. She has passed her senior dance examination with distinction. She has also participated in several dance competition and won innumerable prizes. Shwetha, apart from performing under the banner of Ponnaiah Lalithkala Academy, has also given solo performances at Shringeri , Kukke Subramanya, Dharmasthala, Dehradun, New Delhi and Sachidananda Ashram, Mysore. Shwetha has performed under several well known art banners in the State of Karnataka including the every Friday cultural evening programme, every Wednesday programme, Samskruthika Saurabha, Independence Day celebrations, Kannada Jagruthi and Gadinada Samskruthika Mela, Hosur sponsored by the Government of Karnataka.
