Biswajit Sarkar was initiated into the world of music during his educational career. He is Post-Graduate in Sitar form Vishwabharati University - Shantiniketan. Biswajit received his training under the able tutelage of great maestro Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya. Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya is one of the finest exponents of "Seniya Maihar Gharana" and a disciple of Sur Sadhak Baba Allaudin Khan Sahib. Biswajit learnt to blend the style of Dhrupad Gayaki(Vocal) and Tantrakari ( Instrumental) and then developed a musical personality in a most individual way. He is an 'A' Grade artist of the All India Radio & Television.
