Sharath R Rao is a renowned Carnatic vocalist, performer, teacher and a philosopher. He learnt music from his gurus Vijayavani , Shantha S Rao and Rajkumar Bharathi. He started to concert from the age of 12 and his recitals were popular in marriages and public functions. He also completed his dissertation under the guidance of Mysore M Manjunath.

Sharath has won several prestigious music competitions and became an accomplished vocalist. He has given concerts at many leading sabhas and music festivals in India and abroad.

As a teacher, Sharath mentors several young students pursuing academics in music. He guides many students who aim to pursue research in Music. As a philosopher, he has conducted spiritual workshops, influencing people for good.
