Shailendra Mishra has done Masters in Music. He is ‘A’ grade artist in AIR and Doordarshan. He is a well known classical musician. He represents both Banaras and Farukkhabad Gharanas. His presentation is unique and individualistic. Being an able soloist as well as an excellent accompanist he has played with many genres of music. His works with jazz, gamelan, Carnatic, Iranian music and other styles of world music have been acclaimed. He is a regular performer in most of the prestigious festivals in India and abroad. His association with stalwarts of Indian Music like Pt V.G. Jog, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Parur M.S.Gopalkrishnan, Smt Girija Devi, along with great musicians in abroad has placed him amongst the leading and versatile Tabla players of the country.
