He learned under the guidance of Late Alaknanda Devi. His duet with his cousin Mata Prasad Mishra is well known all over India under the name of "Priya Bandhu". He is also a skilled Tabla player. He has more than 20 years of experience. He is teaching in Varanasi and regularly in Switzerland (Geneva).
