Ramadasappa is the famous and passionate Nadaswaram vidwan of our times. His father Chikka Muniswamappa is a well known Nadaswaram artist, guru of Ramadasappa. From his early age started to train under his father, who taught him the nuances of varnams, ragas and kritis. Since then, Ramdas started appearing in several concerts. At the age of 22, he got his break with the help of Veena Doraiswamy Iyengar and since then it is an incessant success. He has received great critics from legends like Balamurali Krishna and Lalgudi Jayaraman. Ramdas has performed at music festivals and wedding concerts all over South India. He is the prud recipient of awards like Karnataka Rajyothsava Award, Chowdiah Award, Sangeetha Nrithya Academy Award to name a few. He is the recipient of TTK award , a "Silver Nadaswaram". He earned the title "Gana Kalanidhi" and "Asthana Vidwan" from Sri Sankaracharya, Sringeri Mutt.
