Rahul Vellal, 11 years old is the disciple of Vidushi Kalavathy Avadhoot. He started learning Carnatic classical music from the age of 4 years. Apart from Carnatic classical music he is learning mridangam from Vidwan Kulur Jayachandra Rao and Western Piano from N Abhishek. He is the recipient of CCRT Scholarship from Central Government of India. He has performed in many sabhas in Karnataka, Chennai and also has given international performances in Lagos, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.
