R.K. Prasanna Kumar is a well known Mridangam and Classical Vocal Vidwan. He is the son of the legendary Veena musician R.S.Keshavamurthy. He started his training in music at an early age with guidance from the guru, his father. He later continued his advanced training from R.K.Padmanabha and P. G Lakshminarayana. Prasanna has showcased both his talents in many prestigious platforms throughout India. He has also been a part of several concerts and music festivals held in the United States. He is the recipient of many awards like "Mridanga Vadana Chatura", "Layavaadhya Gambheera" to name a few. Prasanna was also named as "Asthana Vidwan" of Sri Kanchi Kama Koti Peetam. Apart from his concerts, Prasanna has released many music albums like “Bhakti Shakti” and “Naada Shakti”.
