Nalina Mohan is a noted violinist from Karnataka. She is a disciple of Sri. R R Keshavamurthy and the late Sri. Anoor Ramakrishna. She too comes from a family of musicians- father a sama veda scholar and mother a violinist. She got a government of India cultural scholarship for advanced training in violin. She has got the award "Season's best violinist" by the Gayana Samaja, Bangalore. She also received the Parur Sundaram Iyer Endowment award by Sri Krishna Gana Sabha. She is an accomplished vocalist as well. She has got many awards in that field including Pallavi singing. She has accompanied several of the reputed present-day artists. She also has several cassettes to her credit. Her daughter Sharada Mohan is a Carnatic Vocalist and Violinist. Malavika Ramaswamy is the daughter of Smt. M S Sheela. She is also a Carnatic Violinist.
