Narasimha Murthy is an accomplished Carnatic flautist. He started at a very young age his training with Guru Vid. M.S Srinivasa Murthy, later with Guru Vid. M.R.Doraswamy. His vocal training was under Guru Vid. S.Shankar. Ably nurtured under their guidance with a dedication to music, he is known for his melody, nuances and creativity. He is an A-grade artist from All India Radio and Doordarshan. He has been giving solo performances since 1992, including recitals at the first Asian Festival in Wales and at Lincoln Center. He has been providing flute accompaniment to Dance since 1993 and has travelled extensively to spread Carnatic music.
